Peter Lurie After playing a key role in the formation and launch of Virgin Mobile USA in 2002, the innovative mobile virtual network operator focused on the youth market, Lurie became General Counsel. He is responsible for structuring and negotiating strategic relationships, capital transactions, management and governance, and acting as a liaison to the board of directors. Virgin Mobile USA revolutionized the pay-as-you-go market and became one of the ten largest wireless service providers, with over 5 million customers and over $1 billion in revenues. Previously, Lurie served as a Principal of a private equity group for Commerzbank, which completed the first public offering of a private equity fund in Europe. Prior to that, he worked on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett in New York City. Lurie is a graduate of Dartmouth College and The University of Chicago Law School, where he was an editor of The University of Chicago Law Review. |
